Welcome to the Scrolls® Bass Odyssey from the EarthQuaker Devices® family of sonic solutions! Scrolls was designed in partnership with Japan’s one and only master of bass tone—Kentaro Nakao! Scrolls is a powerful, modern tool capable of shaping the organic input signal of any bass to match the sonic profile of virtually any bass/amp combination you can think of. Want the precise sound of a California-born bass rocketing through a flip top amp with a 15" speaker? Scrolls has got you covered. Want the sting of an active bass punching its way through a solid state full-stack? Scrolls has got you covered. Want the sound of...you get the idea.

On the right side of Scrolls, you’ll find a Drive section featuring a versatile, tube amp-like distortion. Key amongst the Drive section features are the Blend knob, which enables you to adjust the amount of clean signal present in the overdriven signal, and the position of the Bandwidth knob determines where the clipping is most prevalent—lower frequencies counterclockwise and higher frequencies clockwise. Together, the Blend and Bandwidth knob can be adjusted to ensure the low-end response remains wide, deep, and full when using the Drive section.

The left side of Scrolls features a full suite of active EQ controls including audiophile-quality Bass, Middle, and Treble controls. The secret weapon of Scrolls' EQ section is the Variable Frequency control with the ability to cut/boost frequencies from around 20 Hz to 10 kHz—making it the perfect tool for cutting out the mud and boosting the high-end. Within the EQ section, you’ll find three push button switches that serve as potent assets for one-click tone sculpting.

The buffered Parallel Out enables you to send a clean signal out to an external destination. Internally, the
signal comes first in the chain and runs into the EQ . Between the lives an Effects Loop, enables you to keep your modulation effects positioned after the while retaining the ability to apply all the tone-shaping capabilities of the section in your chain, section at the end of your chain.

Scrolls can be routed directly to your bass amp via the 1⁄4" output, or you can use the balanced XLR out to run Scrolls directly to the front of house for an ampless show or straight into your recording interface for ampless recording. The XLR out features a splash of analog filtering to make it sound more like a speaker cabinet in amp-free scenarios.

Each and every Scrolls is all-analog, true bypass, and built one-at-a-time by credentialed professionals at
the EarthQuaker Devices Tone Wellness Clinic under the malt gray skies of Akron, Ohio.

  • Tone: Low pass filter enabling you to shape the frequency of the Drive channel. Turn counterclockwise to reduce highs.

EQ Controls:

  • Level: Output volume control when the EQ controls are active. Set the knob at noon for unity, turn clockwise to boost the output signal, turn counterclockwise to cut the output signal.
  • Vari: Boosts or cuts the Variable Frequency control. Position this control at noon for unity (marked with a center detent in the potentiometer.) Turn clockwise from noon to boost the Vari-Freq, or counterclockwise to cut.
  • Vari-Freq: Variable frequency control for fine-tuning your tone. Adjustable from approximately 20 Hz to 10 kHz.

  • Direct Out (On Side): Balanced XLR out with a subtle amount of analog filtering added to the signal path to simulate the tonal characteristics of a bass speaker cabinet.
  • Ground Lift (On Side): Press for ground lift on the XLR output.

Ohhh Mr. Iguana
Size: Medium/Large, Color: Illana the Iguana - Large
Mr. Iguana is a house favorite! I got my first one of these in a barkbox and my dog loved it so much, i went on the hunt for another one. Amazon saved the day! I own about 7 of these now. They are prefect for dogs just love to chew, they hold up great! And they are heavy duty, super easy to clean! My dogs are very happy, great value for the money! Doesn't have a smell, vibrant colors! Noise level is quiet, minus my dogs chewing !

Not for strong chewers
Size: Medium/Large, Color: Dog Ness Monster - Large
Initially, I really liked this for my dog. She is about 8 months old and still loves to chew and destroys most toys in a few minutes. When we got this, it seemed like it would hold up for a while despite being clearly gnawed on. Unfortunately, once she focused on the softer "water" portion of the toy, that is where things went downhill with this toy. After a few short chew sessions, she was tearing chunks out of it. We had purchased a replacement since she liked the original so much, and after about 5 minutes with the replacement, she had taken enough out of the blue section that we immediately threw that one out as well. Overall while the green portion held up, the blue didn't. I can't recommend this for strong chewers.

Definitely not indestructable
Size: Medium/Large, Color: Dog Ness Monster - Large, Size: Medium/Large, Color: Dog Ness Monster - Large
I have a 1-year-old toy fox terrier (Rocky, pictured). He has been chewing on this toy for seven months now; it is one of his favorites. He has been unable to seriously damage the "ocean" portion of this toy, but as you can see from the provided image, the sea serpent has not faired that well. It is missing its snout and smaller portions of the humps. My guess is that the advertiser images showing much larger dogs with "like new" versions of the toy are just that...NEW AND UNCHEWED. I have not had to clean up bits of this toy from my floor, so I assume Rocky has been swallowing them. My hope is that the yellow material of the serpent is not chemically dangerous when exposed to digestive fluids. Rocky easily destroys plush toys in a matter of days if not hours and, consumed pieces of a small microfiber blanket that he liked to toss around and play tug-of-war with (past tense as he destroyed it and has since been trashed after I began finding feces-stained undigested pieces of it lying around). Since this toy has survived seven months and has remained recognizable, I have to agree it is durable. Just beware, if my small toy fox terrier can damage the toy as pictured, expect your large breed chewer to do similar or worse damage. Also, the toy is very heavy! When Rocky drops it down a flight of stairs, it makes a MAJOR thud at the bottom, and sometimes makes me wonder if it might crack the large tile at the bottom. I cautiously recommend the product. Note the yellow frisbee in Rocky's picture. It is only a few months old and surprisingly has not suffered any chew damage despite substantial abuse. It appears to bend in the wind like a proverbial reed, evading damage by yielding to pressure.

They were tough, but not mower blade tough
They were holding up well for my doggy that eats and destroys everything. He was sad when daddy didn't see it in the yard when he mowed. Does not hold up to mower blades sadly enough lol.

Tough, Durable, and Great for Heavy Chewers
The Feeko Heavy Duty Dog Rope Toys (2-pack) have been a great addition for my dog, who is a large breed and absolutely destroys most toys within days. These ropes have held up far better than expected and have become a go-to for daily tug-of-war sessions. The ropes are thick, tightly woven, and feel genuinely sturdy. Even with constant chewing and pulling, they’ve shown very minimal fraying so far. My dog loves grabbing both ends for tug games, and I like that it keeps him engaged and active. Another nice bonus is the teeth-cleaning benefit. While it’s not a replacement for dental care, the fibers definitely help reduce some buildup as he chews and plays, which is a nice added perk. The size is also appropriate for medium to large dogs—easy for them to grip without being too small or flimsy. Having two ropes in the pack is great for rotation or multi-dog households. The only thing to note is that, like all rope toys, they’re not truly “indestructible.” Very determined power chewers will eventually cause wear over time, so supervision is still recommended. Overall, this is a durable, well-made set of dog rope toys that holds up well for aggressive chewers and provides great value for the price.
